    Name: Halfpaw

    Gender: Tom

    Rank: Apprentice

    Appearance:

Personality: Halfpaw is excitable and fun, but he often gets carried away with his rambunctiousness. Although he is immature, Halfpaw is kind and honest, and has a sweet spot for young kits. He loves playing with them.

History(opt.): When his father was killed fighting for his clan, Halfpaw's mother fell into a state of depression, and completely ignored the young kit's existence. Luckily enough, he had a sister who kept him safe and acted as a mother during this time. When he was old enough to catch his own prey, his sister sent him away from the clan with his best interest at heart. She didn't want him to have to live near their mother any longer as she was slowly becoming angry and lashing out at them for no reason. He traveled a long way, and was beginning to lose hope of finding any place to stay before he found Frostclan. Ever since he has been trying his hardest to help his new clan out in any way he can, even if sometimes he's more of a nuisance than a help!

    Crush/Mate: None yet

    Kits:

Other: He has a terrible fear of deep dark water.

Wow! You sound very upbeat and lively. I like that ;) I'm new too, so I'd love to be your friend. If you'd like, we could get an rp started on this thread. It may be a good learning experience if you've never done it before. I'll even make the starter, just say the word :3

Alright well let me help you out. You can hop into an rp, or start one with one or more of your characters (cats, wolves, dogs, pokemon, whatever it is you happen to be rping with). It's always nice to give a very short bio of your car for other players to have some info on who they're dealing with. You could also let them know a bit about your character by tying it into your first post (unless you're trying to keep his or her identity a secret of course). For instance, I could use a cat of mine named Redfur. He's a dark red tabby tom from SnowClan and he has a soft spot for kits - showing that he is a bit of a softy. Now after you know what character you're rping with, and you've let the other players know in some way, you're good to go. At this point all you have to remember is to stay in character while you rp. Remember that not ever one of your characters will have the exact same personality, so it's important to keep tabs on them and how they're progressing through the thread. If you ever have something to say to the players, make sure that they know it is OOC or "Out Of Context". This will help avoid confusion. Whether you use double parentheses (( " " )) or type OOC: " ", Just be sure to let them know you're talking as YOU and not your character. To revert back to talking as your character all you have to do is type IC: or something of the sort. One last tip - I apologize for such a long post - "" quotes are dialog while italics are thoughts, generally speaking.

NOW... I may have just shoveled you a load of garbage that you already know, but it may be nice to refer to XD. Just for now I'll lay down the starter to give you something to work with.

    IC:

Blueheart, a large tabby tom, shook the remaining moss off his blue-grey fur. "Morning already?" He thought out loud, voice still scratchy and weak. "Well, no time to waste, the days are only getting shorter." Blueheart crawled out of his comfy moss, and over to where his friend was lying, still asleep. "Hey, come on, time to wake up." He urged, walking over to nudge the bundled lump of fur. "We've gotta go hunting."

Redpaw crouched in a tree, completely focused on a plump squirrel dozing off on a branch. Alright, move slow, check. Silence your breath, check. Now get ready... He tried remembering everything he was taught during training, but in the process, forgot the most crucial part... His footing. "Whoa... No!!" He yelped falling off the slippery branch into a snow bank below. "Starclan help me..." He thought out loud, "I'm hopeless." Just then, he heard a few familiar voices not far off and decided to investigate. Completely covered in powdery snow, he came up to two warriors. "Oh, hello. Didn't mean to interrupt anything." he meowed, dipping his head respectfully.

Redpaw took a couple paces back and shook himself off. "Too much snow from the last storm..." He complained before finally catching scent of the kit. "Oh?" He purred, smiling warmly. "A kit, huh." He went up and sniffed the small bundle of fur. "Kind of far from home aren't you?"

Blueheart stood guard outside the SnowClan camp with a serious, yet rather vacant expression. The large tom was so used to these storms that the blistering wind hardly phased him. Hmm? His ears flicked outwards, and instinctively his eyes followed. There in the snow was a pure white kit, collapsed. Blueheart stood up and slowly padded over to her, taking in what he could of her scent through this storm. "Well now... This won't do." He purred, nudging her slightly. "Excuse me, what are you doing on SnowClan territory...?" Blueheart's tone was stern but genuine. He knew she was in no condition to be answering his questions, but it was his duty to protect his clan, and not even a kit would prevent him from doing such. I can't just leave her here... he thought, arguing with himself internally.

Redpaw looked to Blueparadise with a questioning expression. "Should we take him home with us?" he whispered, not knowing how to deal with this type of situation.

Who in StarClan's name would leave a kit out here. He thought, after he heard the kit questioning the title 'Clan'. Blueheart knew the kit wouldn't last long without help. Perhaps just this once he would let an outsider into the Clan. "Yes, SnowClan." He repeated, before picking her up by the scruff. Just then he noticed her scarf. A kittypet?! He thought, second guessing himself, although it was too late. He had made up his mind to help.

Blueheart caught a very small scent of another cat not far away, and immediately glared in that direction, straining his eyes to try to catch a glimpse. Now?! Of all times. He thought, quickening his pace with the small kit dangling from his jaws. I have to get this kit to safety first. Blueheart decided, glancing down to inspect her a bit more as he walked.

Halfpaw shot her a proud look. "Positive." He said, grinning slightly. "Hey, would you like to get some fresh kill with me before we have to start training?" The young apprentice - though normally overly confident - seemed a little shy while asking

    OOC: Alright, have fun!

    IC:

Blueheart could tell that the kit wouldn't last the trip back to camp. They were close to the border after all. This is bad... If she stays out here much longer she could freeze. He thought, weighing options in his head. As uncomfortable as he was with it, he thought that the best plan would be to try to find where that scent came from. It was obviously much closer then camp. No sane cat would be out here without shelter, so wherever this scent came from, the cat it came from must have some form of protection against the storm. "Hello! Is anybody out there?!" He called, through a mouthful of fur. "I know you're there. Please, I have a kit!" Blueheart had sunk to pleading for shelter to protect the pure white kit.

    OOC: Have fun!

    IC:

"Great, I'll meet you over there." He purred. His paws were tingling since she said yes. On his way over to the pile, he saw the Medicine Cat, who he had taken a strange liking to ever since he joined the clan. "Hey Echobell." He called, flicking his tail.

Thank StarClan. He thought, immediately heading towards the voice. As soon as he was in the den, he laid the kit down on the slightly warmer ground, and began licking her downward to get blood flowing through her tiny body. "Thank you for allowing me to bring this kit in." He said, calmly. "She wouldn't have made it had it not been for your shelter."

It was obvious to tell that, while grateful, Blueheart was maintaining a cautious mind. He wanted to know why this cat was so near SnowClan territory.
